For three weeks, I’ve been opening my laptop, hoping inspiration would strike… and instead, I got tumbleweed. I had plenty of “brilliant ideas” during meditation and reading, but the moment I started writing? Drivel. Boring drivel….boring Mcboring.
Is it writer’s block? Or just the fact that life has been a whirlwind? Busy days, hectic schedules, a car bump (not my fault), and suddenly I’m no longer on the road, I’m skidding through a muddy field at high speed.
Somewhere in all this, I picked up a Christmas tree. It stood proudly with just lights for a week before I decorated it between parents’ evening slots. Someone asked about my colour scheme. I resisted the urge to say, “Chaos. My colour scheme is chaos.”
More blogs are coming once I’ve finished juggling the baubles and found the actual road again. And no cheesy “reflecting on the year” post. Promise. I’ll keep the deep reflections for meditation…and the bauble in the photo if you hadn’t noticed!
Smart shoes at the ready and train tickets in hand, I’m stepping into a packed week full of mediation, conversations, and new connections.
