How lovely it was to get out and about yesterday. I was lucky enough to be invited to “Evening of Fascinating Women”, held at the most beautiful venue, Ten Trinity Square. With Christmas in full swing and a tree decorated fully and fabulously, it was impossible not to resist the festive spirit.

In an intimate room, lit with warm light, a group of truly fascinating women gathered in a perfect space to connect. With my natural inquisitiveness and love of human stories, I was completely in my element. (Some noteworthy observations saved for another blog!)

I took the opportunity to shine a light on mediation, what we do, why it matters, and how deeply it sits within the fabric of everyday life.

While I didn’t manage to speak with everyone, I left with new perspectives, meaningful connections, and a stronger belief that mediation is still too often approached only in moments of crisis. There is huge untapped potential for it to be used more proactively in workplaces as part of holistic wellbeing support.

Thank you to the organisers for such a wonderful event, and to all the incredible people I spoke with who shared snapshots of their lives, roles, and careers. You were all insightful, and I took something valuable from each of you.

Events like this remind me that the art of conversation is very much alive; we need to slow down, step away from the busyness, and truly connect.
