Rachel Poole
Rachel is the founder of The Mediation House and a highly skilled, accredited family mediator with years of experience guiding families through complex and emotionally charged situations. Her calm, balanced approach helps clients feel supported and understood at every stage of the mediation process.
She is fully accredited by the Family Mediation Council (FMC) and follows their Code of Practice, ensuring professionalism, confidentiality, and high standards throughout. You can learn more about the benefits of choosing an FMC-registered mediator here. Rachel is also a member of the Family Mediation Association.
Rachel is a qualified child-inclusive mediator, which means, where appropriate and with parental agreement, she can offer children a safe and supported space to express their thoughts and feelings as part of the process.
In addition to her mediation practice, Rachel is a Professional Practice Consultant (PPC) for family mediators. In this role, she supports and supervises other mediators, helping them maintain high professional standards, reflect on complex cases, and develop their practice in line with FMC requirements. This work keeps Rachel at the forefront of best practice in family mediation.
Rachel brings a wealth of knowledge to her mediations, particularly in complex financial and emotional cases. With a background in the City, she combines sharp financial insight with a compassionate, therapeutic approach, offering clients both clarity and emotional support in difficult times.

Neil
Neil is a dad to two daughters and has been supporting families through separation since 2017. Through both his professional work and life experience, he understands how overwhelming this time can feel and how important it is to have the right support in place.
He is a trained Family Mediator, accredited by the Family Mediation Council, and also works as a divorce coach.
After a challenging and rewarding 20-year career in the public sector, Neil chose to devote his time fully to helping families find a more positive way forward.
He supports people in reaching fair divorce settlements and practical child arrangement plans, while reducing the long-term emotional and financial strain on parents and, most importantly, their children.
Neil’s approach is calm, practical and grounded in realism. Every family’s situation is different, but clarity, pragmatism and the avoidance of unnecessary conflict sit at the heart of his work, helping clients move forward with confidence and peace of mind.
